” Since medical school I have been 10-25 pounds overweight, and have tried and failed multiple diets, including Adkins (and variants), and Sensa. In October of 2012, I began using the app My Fitness Pal to log all of my calories. At that time, I also increased my 3 day/week stair climber program to 7 days/week, and began coming to Art of Strength 3 days a week. I credit this latter addition with the most benefit, although it was truly the combination of altering diet AND exercise that proved ultimately successful. When I started, my weight was 172 (BMI 26.15 – overweight), and within 3 months, I had dropped 27 pounds to my current weight of 145 pounds (BMI 22.05 – normal weight)

Not only that, but with the addition of the core strengthening work at Art of Strength, all of my aches and pains went away. I had suffered with my left rotator cuff impingement for over a year, and had tried and failed PT, but my work at Art of Strength resulted in lasting pain-free function of my shoulder.
